Tilie Vaughn, Staff Writer
Hello, my name is Tilie Vaughn. I am a sophomore at Alliance High school. This is my first year in Journalism so my stories won’t be amazing from the start, but I hope to improve as I learn.
I am not originally from Alliance. I was born and raised for 13 years of my live in Aurora, Colorado. I moved to Alliance after my grandmother passed away from Ovarian Cancer in 2014. It was a hard adjustment but I have healed and am now starting to move on with my life. I participated in the one act last school year and plan to join again along with speech and the musical. I am also a part of Upward Bound. This school year is going to be both exciting and stressful at the same time.
My mother is a single mother of three and works as a paraprofessional at Emerson Elementary. She also works at two different nursing homes. I have an older brother who is currently in the Army and who I hope to see in December. My younger sister is currently in 8th grade at Alliance Middle School.
