The Alliance Bulldog football team took on the Grand Island Northwest Vikings on Homecoming night, September 12. The Bulldogs fought hard, led by quarterbacks Baden Shelmadine, and Derek Morrison, and running back Tyler Trout. Despite the cold, the Bulldogs held their ground, keeping up with the Viking’s fast paced offense, but were unable to come up with the victory. The final score was 22-43.

Rushing: Cody Robinson: 13 carries, 57 yards. Tyler Trout 13 carries, 67 yards.

Passing: Shelmadine 4-12, 123 yards, 2 touchdowns, Morrison 1-2, 29 yards, 1 touchdown.

Receiving: Brennan: 2 catches, 41 yards, one touchdown. Randall: 1 catch, 29 yards, one touchdown. Nordeen: 1 catch, 77 yards, touchdown.

Final Stats: 272 yards of total offense, 120 rushing yards, 152 passing yards for Alliance. Grand Island Northwest 181 rushing yards, 214 passing yards, 395 total.

The Bulldogs will travel to Lexington this Friday, September 19 for their matchup with the Minutemen, kickoff is scheduled for 6pm CDT.
