The Best of the West track meet was held on Tuesday, April 28, in Scottsbluff. The Best of the West is a track meet that only the top performers of each event from the panhandle no matter what class they’re in.

The boys varsity got 3rd, scoring 61 points. Brody Brennan placed second in the 400 Meter run, and Cody Robinson got fifth. Brendan Brehmer got seventh in the 300m Hurdles. The boys’ 4×100 meter relay got third with the relay team consisting of Josh Ellis, Brody Brennan, Cody Robinson ad Klayton Nordeen. Their 4×400 Relay team earned second with the team consisting of Josh Ellis, Brendan Brehmer, Cody Robinson, and Brody Brennan. Kyle Krantz got fourth in Discus with a throw of 142.04. Trevor Ridenour tied for third in high jump with a jump of 5ft 10in. Josh Ellis got first in Pole Vault with a vault of 13-05. Kody Flecher and Klayton Nordeen both placed in long jump with Kody’s jump being 21-00.50, putting him at second place and Klaytons being 20-04.50 putting him in sixth place.

The girls placed ninth scoring 28.2 points led by Mickenzie Brennan getting fourth in the 100-meter dash. The 4x100m relay team got fourth with the team consisting of Sydney Nordeen, Madison Reiber, Hanna Swanson and Mickenzie Brennan. The girls’ 4x400m relay got sixth with the team consisting of Hanna Swanson, Kelsey Adamson, Madison Morgan and Mickenzie Brennan. The girls 4x800m relay team got fifth with the team of Hanna Swanson, Kelsey Adamson, Madison Stark and Kaylee McDonald. Precious Williams and Abbie Luger both placed in shot put. Precious got fifth with a throw of 35-09.00 and Abbie got tenth with a throw of 32-03.25. They both also placed in Discus. Abbie got eighth with a throw of 100-02 and Precious for tenth with a throw of 89-08. Josie Otto places tenth in high jump with a jump of 4-08.00.

The next track meet for the Alliance Bulldogs is Western Conference held in Scottsbluff Friday, May 1st.
