On Friday and Saturday, the Alliance Wrestling team traveled to Chadron for the annual Chadron Invitational. The team placed tenth out of 25 teams at the tournament. Jorgen Johnson, DJ Weare and Walker Johnson placed in the tournament. In the 106 pound weight class, Jorgen Johnson placed fifth, pinning Weber of Hemingford, in the second period. DJ Weare placed third in the 138 pound weight class. He won his match by major decision against Pearman of Valentine. Walker Johnson got first in the 145 pound weight class. Johnson pinned Hand of Valentine in 2:53. “I am happy with the how I am wrestling, and I am really excited for districts and the state tournament.” Senior Walker Johnson said. The Bulldogs will wrestle in McCook this Friday for the McCook duals.
