On Monday, December 8, 2014, the Alliance High School Choirs held their annual Christmas vocal music concert. The mixed choir, girls select, boys select, girls and boys select, Velocity and Harmonics groups performed. The mixed choir performed “Now is the Time of Christmas” and “The Magic of Winter.” Velocity sang “Extraordinary Merry Christmas” with solos from Monique Wing and Thalia Hinojosa. Velocity also sang “Sleep, Tiny Child,” “A Field of White,” and “All I want for Christmas is You” featuring Jazlyn Garza as the soloist. The Girls Select Choir sang “The Bells,” followed by the Girls and Boys Select Choir who sang “Linus and Lucy”. The Boys Select Choir sang, “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” from the Christmas classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Harmonics sang “Sparklejollytwinklejingley” from the Christmas movie Elf. Harmonics also sang “Amid the Falling Snow” featuring Cheyenne Weaver and “Cartoon Christmas” featuring Christa Horn. The Mixed Choir sang “Under Winter Weather” with a special cello accompaniment from Elora Bleisch. They also sang “Jonathan’s Bell Carol” featuring Bailey Alwin. The concert ended with all of the choir students singing “Dark is the Silent Night”.
