Hi! My name is Sophi Sanchez and I am a senior here at Alliance High. I’m a third year writer for the Spud. My sophomore year, I placed fifth in the state competition for entertainment writing. I moved to Alliance about 12 years ago from West Palm Beach, Florida. My parents emigrated to the States 20 years ago from Colombia and I am very proud of my heritage. I have two siblings and a two-year-old nephew named Eli. During the summer, I enjoy getting bloo goo shakes from Zestos, going to the lake, and traveling. My after-school activities include CrossFit and volunteering. When I’m not attending Health Professions meetings, I enjoy watching Grey’s Anatomy and Untold Stories of the ER. I plan on going to University of Nebraska – Kearney for my first four years of college with a Pre-Medicine major. After that, I plan on going to the University of Nebraska Medical Center for medical school, and continuing onto a family medicine residency! I am very excited for my last year at Alliance High and hope to make many memories with my classmates!
