Saphina Achi is the daughter of Gideon and Esther Achi. She is active in Speech, FCCLA, Academic Decathlon, STEM Club, National Honor Society, Health Professions and KEY Club. When asked what her favorite high school memory was, she replied, “The volleyball district championship my sophomore year.” Advice that she would give underclassmen would be “Don’t procrastinate, it might seem like a good idea now, but you’ll regret it later.” After high school, she plans to go to American University and major in biology. Saphina expressed her favorite class was biology because Ms. Joule was a great teacher and made the subject extremely interesting. One fun fact about Saphina is that she gets injured a lot, but has never broken a bone.
