On Saturday, February 14th, Alliance Bulldog Wrestlers competed at districts in Chadron. Jorgen Johnson (106) placed 4th in his weight class. Ross Dunn (113) placed 5th. Lane Applegarth (126) lost battling for 3rd place. Rey Valdez (132) and Dj Weare (138) lost in the heartbreak round, Dj by only 1 point. Walker Johnson (145) was the district champion Manny Cabello (152) lost going for third place. Danny Vallejo (160) placed 3rd in the tournament earning a place in the state tournament. Buster Wilson (170) placed 2nd losing to the number one seed. Matthew Pachek (182) lost in the heartbreak round. Brent Thomas (195) lost in the second round of the tournament. Jacob Baldwin (220) placed fourth in the tournament. The state qualifiers are Jorgen Johnson, Walker Johnson Danny Vallejo, Bryant Wilson and Jacob Baldwin. The state tournament will be February 19-21 in Omaha. The SPUD wishes the state qualifiers and coaches the best of luck at the state tournament.
