Churros are the classic favorite fried dessert, they are a Mexican dessert and they began making them in the 1500s, now you can find churros made everywhere! You have probably seen one at your local gas station or going to the carnival with friends and family, you can also make some at home, which is very easy to make. with the fried dough that is piped into a frier, cooked until golden brown, then dumped into a sugar-cinnamon coating that leaves the outside crispy and inside a soft tender extravagant taste. No one could resist the flavor. 

Now, why are they so popular? In my opinion, I think it could be the shape of the churro because it is easier to eat. When you eat a donut, it bumps into your cheek when u eat it so it gets in the way and messier, As for a churro, it is easier to eat which may be why they are so popular especially at amusement parks and fairs. Also, since they are piped out of a star shape funnel tip, the edges are made crispier so now when you take a bite, you have a combination of crispy and chewy. In April 2020, Disney exposed their recipe for the churros they sold at the park. After that, bloggers were making a trend on remaking Disney’s “Churro Bites.” in spite of that, churros quickly became one of the highest-ranked recipes searched on Google. 

Disney did a step further than just doing plain sugar as a topping. Mandy Lee was the author of the cookbook. She stated, “ Every food we eat nowadays is fusion. It’s a dirty word because people like to eat ‘authentic’, whatever that means. But I don’t feel like there’s anything truly authentic. There’s always a progression. People make things their own.”
