Career day in Chadron allowed sophomores to spend time at the college or at other places to see what careers they wanted and what those careers looked like. Some of the careers were Criminal Justice, Health, Agriculture, and Welding. I went into Criminal Justice to learn about all the different jobs. It was an awesome experience!
They let us do fingerprints and see a courtroom in the college where they practice and went to the police station. They showed us the computers they track people on, the shields they use as well as the vests. We had the chance to try on handcuffs and vests. We also got to see the vials that they put the drugs in.
When I interviewed Arianna Rodiqduez she said, “I went to the Health part of the careers and it was so much fun! We got to see a lot of things and go into the hospital and watch how they do some things around there. I recommend going to the careers day! It was so much fun!”
The main experience I liked was that we got to use the drunk and drug goggles. They showed us how they tested people if they were drunk or on drugs. It was so much fun I would recommend for sophomores to go to it next year!
