Spheros In Mrs. Harris’s Class

Spheros In Mrs. Harriss Class

Jamie Brooks, Staff Writer

This month in Mrs. Harris’s Information and Technology class we are learning about coding and working with different technologies. The Spheros are little balls of mechanics controlled by using your phone or computer. You use different types of codes from movements to variables. You can play games, go through mazes, and draw using the coding for Spheros.

I asked Carson Swenson what he thought of the Spheros, “They are really cool and they’re a different type of technology I have never used before”. When you’re messing with the Spheros it is really fascinating, and when you take the cover off you can see all the gears moving. You can also look at how the colors change with the different designs that you can choose from your phone or computer. Carson says “this type of technology can possibly help the future, like helping people get better jobs.” The Spheros do a lot of little things so if a better type of Sphero technology comes out it will really help the future. Most people underestimate how much the little piece of technology can help you until you play with the Spheros. So lets hope the Spheros keep coming out so we can keep enjoying them!
