A Guide to AHS Activities
Here at Alliance High School, students in all grades participate in a multitude of various activities. Participating in school-functioned activities can be a great way for you to meet new people, meet new teachers or even find new friends you never thought you’d make.
Our school board does a phenomenal job making sure the schools offer activities that will intrigue students with diverse interests. Some of these extracurricular activities include sports, business clubs, artistic clubs and even an E-Gaming club. Allowing each of these groups to gather at AHS grants students the ability to participate in something that interests them. In addition, they are surrounded by other students with similar interests, allowing further intellectual thought.
Participating in some of the functions our school hosts is a great way to interact with, not only your classmates but classmates of other grade levels. You may meet some people you have never even heard of, which is one of the many great things about engaging with the endeavors that we are offered at the high school.
One major upside to being actively involved in your school and community is the fact that colleges and universities look for that in students. When it comes to choosing between two students, both with the same grade point average, they look for who was more involved. So when you sign up to play volleyball or be a member of the Future Business Leaders of America club, you are not only doing it for your present self, you are doing it for your future self.
It may be scary to get out of your comfort zone and try new things, but in the end, it will be worth it. So go ahead and try out for the upcoming winter sports, or join the art club. It is never too late to get involved in your school and your future!
