Many classes are starting off the year with fundraisers. The sophomore class jumps in the puddle also. To raise money for their prom, the sophomore class is selling socks. Customized Elites are being sold left and right. Four different socks are being sold; argyle, pink with a breast cancer symbol, blue and white with a bulldog on the back, and black and blue with a bulldog on the back also. The socks are being sold for fifteen dollars a pair.

The class representatives, Mrs. Hiemstra and Mrs. Digmann, decided to donate fifty cents to Jane’s Closet for every pink pair of socks sold. For every fifteen pairs of socks that are sold, the student selling them will receive a free pair of socks of their choice. Surprising to some of the students, the fundraiser kicked off with a great start and is anticipated to make a lot of money!

The first order will be placed September 14. The socks will be ordered in lots of 12, so if there is extra they will be sold at games. They are jumping into raising money for the sophomore class’s junior year prom so AHS will have a fantastic prom next year. They could always use more people to help, so make sure you attend the meetings and help support your Class of 2016!
