Hi, my name is Alexis Garrett and I am a sophomore of Alliance High. I have lived in Alliance for most of my life, only leaving for less than two years and returning in the third quarter of my sixth grade year.
I have always been interested in the arts, both fine and performing. I have aspirations of pursuing a career in art, be it illustration, architecture, or directing. One of my many passions is to critique and create masterpieces. I have been involved in acting since third grade, when a group of my friends and I organized small skits such as “The Wizard of Oz,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and “Fairy-Tale Talk” in which we portrayed fairy-tale characters and made a parody of modern issues.
I am involved in art club, the one act play, band, and softball. One acts helps me further expand my knowledge of the performing arts as well as give me the opportunity to keep acting. My deep love for music convinced me to join band and I don’t ever regret that choice. It is so much fun being able to travel and perform in front of anyone willing to watch and listen. Softball is by far my favorite sport. Even in the off-season you can find me practicing at the fields in snow, rain, or sunshine.
I am one of those people who can sit and watch television for hours. Some of these shows may include the Big Bang Theory, Tosh.O, Teen Wolf, Awkward, and House. I read books as well. I just get lost in them and can read for hours and sometimes even days at a time.
I am really looking forward to an eventful year and a great year for the AHS Bulldogs!
