E-Sports’ End of Season

Trinity Quick

March 30, 2023, was the E-Sports’ last match of the season. They competed against Norris, playing with 3 stocks at 7-minute intervals and 3 rounds per each of the two teams. The teams went to Chadron on Saturday the 25, of March, for an invitational game. Alliance’s E-sports players went up against Scottsbluff, Bridgeport, and Grand Island. At the invitational, Mandie Ylander came out in the top 12 playing Smash Bros Ultimate 1v1. The main game they play, and the only one they compete in currently, is Smash Bros Ultimate, but would like to pick up a Rocket League team and even a Mario Kart team. They are working on getting PCs so that they can play more games such as League, Overwatch and Valorant. E-Sports consists of 2 teams: Team 1, being Mason Trumble as the captain, and Mandie Ylander as the other member. Team 2 consists of Caitlin Kaitlen as the captain, Haden Karell and Shelton Ward as the remaining players.

The team had a really good run this season and are very excited to improve, and play next season. They are working on ironing out any problems that they had this year and to start their next season, in the fall of next year, strong. They are excited about getting new members for the club but also more team players that can commit to being on the E-sports’ teams as they compete.
