Girls Golf

The Alliance High school Girls Golf started the year off at Sidney ,“The first meet was western conference at Sidney which is the toughest course we play at , “Julia Wilson said. Their team got third place.  The team  went to Scottsbluff on the 24 of August. The JV then played at Bayard the 26 of August. The team played the 31 of August in Scottsbluff, the 7 of September in Chadron, the 13 of September in Gering, 21 of September in Ogallala, and the 23 of September in Bridgeport which will be the last game before the season will be over. They have the Girls Golf Districts at Sydney on October 4. Girls Golf  hopes to finish their season off at state on October 11 and 12.  

The whole team has done a lot to prepare for this season, such as “golfing as much as possible during the summer,” stated Chloe Mann. “I’ve been taking lessons with the pro Jared,” quoted from Julia Wilson. The head coach Berlyn Clear stated, “We practice every day either by skills work on the driving range, and the putting green or we go out on the golf course and play. The girls all spend a lot of time this summer practicing and playing in order to be ready for the season this fall.” They want to just have fun this season, but they want to try to get the best team score. They have put a lot of time and effort into this season. The seniors this year are: Julia Wilson, Chloe Mann, Donna LeMunyan, and Morgan Young, and Annika Fuchs.
