AHS Tennis Team Starts Off Strong
This past weekend, the Alliance High Boys Tennis Team competed in a invitational with Gillette, Sheridan, Cheyenne South, Scottsbluff, Gering, Torrington and Scottsbluff Reserve. #1 Singles, Brian Gould went 4-3, #1 Doubles, Anthony Hare and Michael Gomez went 4-3, #2 Singles, Richie Toedtli went 0-7 after battling against some of the hardest competition in the tournament, #2 Doubles Ian Nelson and Parker Cyza went 4-3, and #3 Doubles, Trajan Garcia and Chris Escamilla went 1-6. All of these boys helped send Alliance home with a fourth place standing. “There was very good competition, and it helped us get ready for our bigger tournaments coming up later on in the season.” said Brian Gould. This coming weekend, they will be heading to North Platte to compete in their second tournament of the season in high hopes to carry their momentum from Thursday to the courts.
