My New American Experience

On my first day at Alliance High School, I was really nervous and scared because I was starting a whole new experience, completely different from what I’m used to at my hometown in Roses. New people, new teachers, new classes, new activities.

My first impression of the school was good and I got really excited because I found it bigger and more fun than my hometown. I found that the people here are really nice, sympathetic, helpful, and energetic.

The things that I find completely different from what I’m used to in Spain, is that nearly everyone is involved in their activity sport and they practice a lot. The classes are easier and the teachers are friendlier and I find them more easier to interact with, also I find it cool that students arrive to school with their cars because in Spain we can’t drive until were eighteen.

In general there are lots of new things I’m experiencing and I’m finding the U.S really interesting. I’m really happy to be part of Alliance High School for this 2013 school year.
