Lip sync is a very important homecoming event because it’s a way for students to interact with each other and have fun. Most students don’t know what lip sync is, a lip sync is when a group of students or teachers pick a song and make up a dance and lip sync to the words. Alliance High School had their very own lip sync on September 20, 2023, as a part of the Homecoming Pep Rally. We have many festivities for homecoming; the dance, Mini Olympics, and the dress up days.
We had two teams perform this year, the choir and Alliance High School cheerleaders. Out of the choir who performed was Ayvrie Waldron, Carlie Schneider, Dezzy Prime, Angel Trejo, Ariana Rodriquez, and Matthias Benzel. The Alliance Cheerleaders who performed were Kallie Bridge, Morgan LeMunyan, Jayda Backous, Ashley Carr, Leslie Lopez, Mykah Harris, Addison Hancock, Bria Steggall, Mia Raina, Makenna Quick, and Elizabeth Vermilion. This year’s winners of the 2023 Homecoming Lip Sync were… AHS Cheerleaders!
I interviewed Kallie Bridge, a senior of Alliance cheerleaders and this is what she had to say ”Lip Sync is a fun way for our girls to connect with each other and have good laughs. It really had us thinking about what we could do and we had a great time with everyone that participated in the lip sync competition. We encourage everyone to be in lip sync 2024!”
The SPUD loves how we can have lots of activities to write about, and lip sync is one of those activities because even if we haven’t heard about this we get to learn more about it every year. We also encourage students to make their own group next year and have just as much fun as we did this year.
