The E-sports team is the more competitive aspect of the E-gaming Club. This part of the club is where Alliance High School will fight other schools in Super Smash Bros and any other competitive games. The ones they will be playing this year are Overwatch 2, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros, League of Legends, and Fortnite. If needed you can ask Mrs. Gustafson for a form to join the E-sports team. This team would consist of Mason Trumble, Mandie Ylander, Shelton Ward, and Caitlynn Katen. Team 1 and team 2 played on September 19, 2023 both teams won their matches against Gross Catholic. In the second match against Concordia this match, both teams and schools were in an unbroken tie and later in the week competed in the first annual Scottsbluff tournament.
This winter season they want to get their 5 PC’s up and running so they can compete in more categories of games. They would also like to extend their reach to overwatch 2 and then head into a game called Valorant both these games require them to have 5 players on each team. The E-sports coach has gotten one of the PC’s to work but the others are still in non-working condition. In the club the team may or may not have to play on switches once again to compete in the Overwatch 2 league.
