Ray Ray’s Radar report was started by senior Taytom Timbers as a joke. This little joke was brought about by Taytom sending weather reports to his fellow classmates, Mr. Hasz and later to Mr. Stein. These messages were put on the announcements to make others laugh and to have some fun. Taytom’s original intentions were to only have the reports put on the announcements for a little bit. The reports stayed in the announcements and around Christmas time last semester, Mr. Stein and Taytom made a deal that if Taytom could get 300 signatures on his petition he would be allowed to keep it. Although the petition only got around 40 signatures Taytom was allowed to continue posting Ray Ray’s Radar reports as part of the announcements.
