On Thursday, December 9 at 7:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center, The Alliance High School’s band performed their annual Christmas concert.  The first to play on stage that night was jazz band (Int. & Adv. Combined).  The first song the jazz band played was “Deck the Hall”  by Peter Blair. After that, they played “Silent Night” by Paul Clark. For this song, Aleshi Hicks played the flute, Seth Morrison played the baritone, Ethan Gosha played the bass and Bayleigh McCracken played the piano. The last song they performed was “Jingle Bell Rock” by Paul Cook. Madeline Huss played the alto saxophone. 

After the jazz band performed, the advanced jazz band played. They played “Christmas Time is Here” by David Pugh. Aiden Zaro played the baritone, Landyn Branstiter played the alto sax and Matthew Moomey played the trumpet. The last song they played was called “Big Band Holiday” by Carl Strommen. Branstiter also played the alto sax for this song and Brexten Kimmel played the trombone. 

  The last to play was the concert band. They played three songs. The first song they played was “In Late November” by Randall D. Standridge. Moomey played the trumpet solo and Kasey Jensen did the clarinet solo. The second song was called “In Honor of the Fallen” by Barry Milner and Moomey played the trumpet. The last song they performed was the “Polar Express” by Mike Story. Gabe Sanders played the alto saxophone and Benjamin Cassat- Reina played trumpet. 

The students that played the flute this year are: Arayah Cordell, Nichole Fraedrich, Mykah Harris, Aleshia Hicks, Yaasmyn Rodriquez and Kallie Stone. Those who played French horn were: Brooklyn Branstiter, Ethan Goscha, Emily McCune, Alex Montgomery and Michael Zuniga. The people who played percussion were: Austin Betancud, Sage Eversull, James Lewis, Bayleigh McCracken, Isac Micahel, Cooper Nelson, Charlotte Schmidt, Christian Soriano, Bert Trevino, Toby Voigt, and Aiden Zaro. 

On clarinet was Jesika Bestol, Kasey Jensen, Leslie Lopez, Carlee Romero, Mia Salazar and Emily Thompson. Those on trombone were: Lylend DuBray, Layla Gosnell, Carter Haskell, Brexten Kimmel, Hunter Meggison, Talan Postell, JaVaughn Thompson, Trey Thompson and Owen Webber. The two who were on piano were Bayleigh McCracken and Micahel Zuniga. The ones on the alto sax were Madeline Huss, Hose Rodriguez and Gabe Sanders. The students who played the baritone were Seth Morrison, Richard Nordstrom, Jackson Norris and Kade Richey. 

Sage Eversall played the guitar. Those who played the teno/bari sax were Landyn Branstiter, Madeline Huss and Nevaeh Moon. Benjamin Cassat-Reina, Mason Elford, Ian Gomez, Matthew Moomey, Jaden Rodriguez, Addyson Turman and Brayden Vrbka played the trumpet. The students that played the bass were Sonja Behrends, Ethan Goscha and Gabe Krebs. Tony Acosta, Gabe Krebs, Daulton Mangas and Meagan Morgan were the students who played the tube. Kade Richey, Charlotte Schmidt and Aiden Zaro did the trap set. 

The upcoming performances are the Pep Band, AHS Arts Gala, District Music Contest, AHS Spring Concert, and Graduation. The Arts Gala will be on March 31, 2022. The District Music will be on April 20, 2022. The Spring Concert will be on May 3, 2022 and the graduation will be on May 8, 2022.
