The Alliance Bulldogs boy’s basketball team finished their season on Saturday, March 1, as they fell to McCook in the first round of the District B-6 Tournament in North Platte. The Bulldogs came out of the gate cold as they struggled shooting while McCook was hot from the start.

Jordan Mills started the scoring effort, scoring the only 6 points for the Bulldogs in the first quarter. At the end of the first quarter the Dawgs were behind 6-14.  Mills would score again before Trevor Kamerzell was able to knock down a jumper.

Alliance heated up a little in the second quarter, as they were able to close down the deficit to six points with the halftime score being 21-27.

Coming out of halftime Kamerzell hit the first of only three treys for the game. The Bulldogs had the lead cut to only 3 points 2 minutes into the third quarter. That would be the closest that Alliance would get the score as McCook would be able to knock down shot after shot. At the end of the third, the Bulldogs would trail 30-52.

The struggles would continue for Alliance as the deficit increased even more, as McCook was able to connect on consecutive treys. With 3 minutes left, all five seniors were checked into the game for one final time. Kolton Dubs knocked down a trey and Trevor Kamerzell would hit a jumper which would be the final scoring for the Bulldogs as they would fall 44-63 to the McCook Bison. The Bulldogs finish their season with a record of 7-14.
