The beginning of the second set proved to be favorable to the Bulldogs. They jumped out to a commanding 13-7 lead in the set before Sidney was forced to call a timeout. Out of the timeout, Sidney answered well score seven unanswered to take a 14-13 lead. The game went back and forth all the way to the end of the set when Alliance’s Emily Jensen spiked the ball to the corner to give Alliance a 23-22 lead. Sidney, however, would manage to score the final three points the match to win the set 25-22, and lead the match 3-0.

All the momentum favoring Sidney after the second set carried into the third set for the Red Raiders as well. The Bulldogs fought hard the whole way, but Sidney just had the upper hand, winning the set 25-17, and the match 3-0.

Sidney would moved on to play Gering in the District Championship game, a match in which the Red Raiders swept as well to win the district title.
