Walker Johnson said that he is extremely excited for this upcoming season because he put in a lot of work during the off season. Head wrestling coach Travis Peak said he is also excited for the new season, “Because I love wrestling and I’m always excited for wrestling season! Every year since I was 6 years old!! I guess especially this year because we have reached a point where Alliance is a team to fear again. When I got here we were pretty down and it took a couple years to get it back up. Now we are back to being a strong team, especially in the panhandle area, and it doesn’t look like we should be falling off anytime real soon. We have a lot of tough kids on varsity as well as on JV.”
The wrestlers continue their season with a dual in Gordon Rushville on Thursday night, December 13 and with a meet in Valentine on Saturday, December 15.
