After not dropping a set against Gering or Scottsbluff in their opening duals, the varsity tennis teams finished third overall at the Scottsbluff invite. Number one singles player Keagan Hill went 4-1 on the day finishing third. Number 2 singles player Kyler Kaping finished first with a record of 5-0. The number one doubles duo of Alex Elston and Keith Sanders finished third posting a 3-2 record. The pair of Brian Gould and Brody Fielding placed fourth on the day with a record of 2-3. Parker Cyza and Ian Nelson the number three doubles posted a 2-3 record grabbing third place.
Senior and returning State medalist, Alex Elston, felt confident about the team’s performance. “We have a lot of potential, we just need to work hard and get used to our positions.” The varsity players will be in action in North Platte this weekend facing tough teams at the North Platte Invite
