This past weekend the Bulldog basketball teams competed in the East-West Shootout.

The 8 and 12 boy’s team competed at home this year and first faced off against the Lexington Minute Men on Thursday. The Minute Men were ousted by the Bulldogs and the Bulldogs prevailed 59-35. On Friday the Bulldogs battled against the McCook Bison who defeated the Dogs 32-51. The Bulldog boys then faced the Class A North Platte Bulldogs. The game was played on Saturday, and ended with the North Platte Bulldogs overpowering the Alliance Bulldogs in a 57-70 victory.

The girls’ teams traveled to these locations this year. The 11 and 9 Lady Bulldogs first faced off against Lexington on Thursday and the game ended with a 27-29 victory for Lexington. The Lady Dogs then faced the McCook Bison on Friday and defeated McCook 47-46. The girls then traveled to North Platte on Saturday and stunned North Platte for 34-33 victory with the shot at the buzzer by the senior Bailey Gorsuch .

Next up for both Bulldog teams will be a home match-up against the Sidney Red Raiders on Friday, February 17, with the JV teams starting at 4:00, the varsity girls at 5:30 with the varsity boys to follow.
