The Alliance Bulldogs Softball competed at the North Platte Tournament on September 17 in North Platte.
The Bulldogs first played the Lincoln North Star. The Bulldogs lost 0-12 in 3 innings to the eventual champions.
The Bulldogs continued the tournament playing the Chadron Cardinals. The Bulldogs prevailed with 8-7 win over the Cardinals for the second time this season. Bulldog pitcher Cali Cox went 1-3 with a double and scored runs, while Bulldog catcher Lili Gomez went 3-3 with 2 doubles and 2 runs.
The Bulldogs went on to play Gering for the second time this season. The Bulldogs led 5-1 through 2 innings, but then gave 7 runs in the 3rd and ultimately losing 5-18.
After going 1-2 at the North Platte Tournament, the Bulldogs improved their record to 3-14. Next up for the Bulldog Softball team will play against the Scottsbluff Bearcats on September 20th, starting at 7:00 in Scottsbluff.
