This past Sunday, September 11, the Alliance Jaycees sponsored the National Football League (NFL) Punt, Pass and Kick competition here in Alliance. The event was free of charge and was supervised by the Alliance High Football Program. Winners of Sunday’s competition included: 1st place in 10 & 11 girls division: Blythe Boness; 10 & 11 Boys division: 1st Place Garrett Schmid, 2nd place Cade Pfeifer, 3rd Place Mason Hiemstra. Winners of the 8 & 9 Boys division: 1st place Crayten Cyza, 2nd Place Jack Payne, 3rd place Deon Medina.
Everyone in the competition who placed in the top three spots earned a trip to the Regional competition held in Lincoln and a chance to go on to compete in the National level in Kansas City.
The NFL Punt, Pass and Kick competition is a skills competition for kids ages 6-15. Established in 1961, the PPK program is the oldest youth sports program in America.
