In August of 2019, Taco Bell made a decision that would crush burrito lovers everywhere- they discontinued the XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito. Along with this item, they discontinued eight other fan-favorite items including the Fiery Doritos Locos Taco. This was detrimental to Taco Bell enthusiasts everywhere who enjoyed these items. No one knew that their last time eating this mouthwatering burrito would be the last time they would ever get to taste it.

This delicious burrito was a blend of seasoned beef and rice, beans, a three cheese blend, guacamole, sour cream and avocado ranch all wrapped up in a large tortilla and grilled to perfection. This burrito is not the size of any typical burrito… it is extra, extra large. This could have been purchased with one of their signature beverages to quench your thirst, such as the Baja Blast. 

True, Taco Bell fans are passionate about their favorite menu items, and when their treasured burrito, taco, quesadilla or other Mexican fare gets killed off of the menu, it breaks their heart. It limits the choices available and sometimes the restaurant even replaces it with a different food. This “revamp” is not a good choice and alters their sales. 

Some websites provided “copycat” recipes of this ideal burrito, but unfortunately, most do not even come close to perfecting this delectable item. The ratio of ingredients is never quite right and it never tastes the same as the actual product.

Petitions were made to bring back not only the XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito but also some of the other foods that were ripped away from us far too soon. So far there has been no success in bringing it back, but if Taco Bell wants to keep their devoted customers happy, they should consider bringing back this flavorful burrito. Taco Bell is an extremely popular restaurant and while they do have other wonderful menu items, none come close to the XXL Burrito. The joy that was given to all those who had the privilege of tasting this burrito is unmatched and will never be replaced.
