After 43 years, Redman’s Shoes will be closing! Even if you have hardly been to the wonderful shoe store here in town, you should know it has been around for decades, and has made quite an impact on the town. Where else are BNSF employees going to get discounted boots? It has been a very convenient place for people to shop. They have even been donating to other stores in town. Without Redman’s we, Alliance Nebraska, will lose a lot of people that come from other towns to this store. Especially seeing that many close by towns have hardly, if any, shoe stores of their own. Interviewing the owner, David Pierce, he stated that “We are moving with the times.” More people shop online from large name brands, rather than going to a local shoe store. Also, much larger brands will no longer sell to Redman’s because Redman’s is not a big store, but rather a smaller store in a much smaller town. With that being said, come downtown with as many friends and family as you can, to Redman’s Shoes, where you can conveniently find a great pair of shoes, socks, or even a hydro flask.
