Oscar Pistorius, also know as the “Blade Runner”, vomited in court on Monday, March 10th, after listening to the pathologist testify about the injuries Reeva Steenkamp had received after he shot her dead on Valentines Day last year. The pathologist’s name was Gert Saayman and his testimony was paused due to Pistorius sobbing and vomiting.

Pistorius admits he shot and killed Steenkamp, 29, but admits it was a tragic case of mistaken identity. He says he thought she was an intruder that had broken into his house.

Saayman confirmed that she had died from multiple bullet wounds with her being hit in the head, arm, and hip by three shots fired through the bathroom door. He appeared to be stressed physically and mentally through the trial trying to cover his ears and holding his hands over the back of his neck. His brother and sister came to check on him during the brief break the judge had allowed.

Several witnesses had reported hearing a woman screaming before a rein of shots were fired early that day at Pistorius’s house.

The gunshot wounds recorded were said to all be fatal and immediately incapacitating. It passed from the top of her head over her right eye on the base of the skull. They suggest that she was not standing when she was hit.

The bullets were consistent with a bullet known as the “ranger” which open up like the petals of a flower when hit to cause maximum tissue damage. These are a common “home defense” round.

A witness who testified had said Pistorius’s former girlfriend, Samantha Taylor, said their relationship ended when he cheated on her with Steenkamp. She said noises in the night would cause him to wake up and grab his gun to go check. Taylor also said that he had slept with a pistol on his bedside on the floor or a table. She also said he once became so angry in traffic he shot his gun through the sunroof of his car.
