Hotline Miami 2, March 10th

“Hotline Miami 2” is the conclusion to the “Hotline Miami” series. It follows a series of events through multiple factions that have escalated from the original game. The player will have the chance to play as three distinct characters, as storylines will intersect and there will be an intense soundtrack to set the atmosphere of the game. It has old-fashioned gameplay, but it is experimental, and though highly anticipated, it is not for everybody. It should be a fun game for those who are interested in the experimental games of the next generation.

Battlefield Hardline, March 17th

The “Battlefield” games have been a fan favorite for a while now, since “Battlefield 2,” when the game proved to have a captivating multiplayer style that could compete with the Call of Duty Franchise. Now, it seems most people would rather play a “Battlefield” game since the next generation consoles were released, because the multiplayer system is advanced, and they can contain twice as many players as a Call of Duty match, for much longer periods of time. “Battlefield Hardline” is the next game in the franchise, but it follows a different story. Instead of the military gameplay that characterized the series, the game will be about the war on crime, and the player will have the chance to play as both police and criminals. It’ll be interesting to see if players like this change of gameplay.

Bloodborne, March 24th

“Bloodborne” is an upcoming role-playing game published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It has gameplay similar to “Dark Souls,” and the combat is fast paced, requiring players to use an offensive approach when they take on vast hordes of enemies. It takes place in a ruined city, and the player takes the role of a traveler, who arrives during a plague. The player has to navigate the streets and do anything to survive from the infected.

2015 is a great year in gaming already, and with more highly anticipated games coming out within the following months, and the E3 events in June, gamers will get the chance to experience new styles of gaming that would be both captivating and influential to the arts.
