Finally, 2015 is here. The time’s are changing at their own pace, with unusual trends in music, and I believe things will be different in 2015. The music is rumored to be incredible this year, with some albums that are already highly anticipated. The music will be unique, as all sorts of genres in music are getting more experimental and catchy in different ways.

 

SremmLife, Rae Sremmurd, January 6

SremmLife is the debut studio album by American hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd released on January 6, 2015, through EarDrummer Entertainment and Interscope Records. Three singles, “No Flex Zone,” “No Type,” and “Throw Some Mo,” the latter of which features guest appearances from fellow American rappers, Nicki Minaj and Young Thug, preceded the album.

My Garden, Kat Dahlia, January 13

My Garden is the upcoming debut studio album by American recording artist Kat Dahlia scheduled to be released on January 13, 2015. The album was supported by two singles “Gangsta” and “Crazy,” as well as the iTunes’ instant gratification tracks, “Mirror” and “Clocks.” The album’s production and songwriting involvement is slated to include Missy Elliot, Timbaland and Samaali Mali, including others. In January 2014, My Garden was listed as the 46th most anticipated album of 2015. After several delays, from being scheduled to be released in February 2014, to being rescheduled to September 2014, to being scheduled to be released in October 2014, Epic Records settled on January 2015 for the album’s release.

American Beauty/American Psyco, Fall Out Boy, January 16

American Beauty/American Psycho(sometimes abbreviated as AB/AP) is the upcoming sixth studio album by American rock band Fall Out Boy, set for release on January 16, 2015 through Island Records as the follow-up to the band’s comeback album Save Rock and Roll (2013).The album’s release is preceded by the Platinum top 20 lead single “Centuries”, released September 9, 2014. The album’s title track was released as the second single on December 15, 2014, receiving a radio premiere a month before on November 24, 2014.

Tetsuo & Youth, Lupe Fiasco, January 20

Tetsuo & Youth is the upcoming fifth studio album by American rapper Lupe Fiasco, set to be released on January 20, 2015, by Atlantic Records and 1st & 15th Entertainment. The album was promoted by the Tetsuo & Youth preview tour, which took place November 2, 2013 to December 15, 2013. Lupe’s label-mate Stalley was a supporting act on the tour, while The Boy Illinois took a role as an opening act.

The Pale Emperor, Marilyn Manson, January 20

The Pale Emperor is the upcoming ninth studio album by American rock band Marilyn Manson. It is expected to be released on January 20, 2015 in the US through Marilyn Manson’s own Hell label, with distribution handled in the US by Loma Vista Recordings in Canada by Dine Alone Records and internationally by Cooking Vinyl. The album will be released in standard and deluxe. The standard version of the album will comprise ten tracks, while a deluxe edition will include three acoustic versions as bonus tracks.

The month of January is usually slow in music. February will have a larger set of albums, and as the time progresses, the busiest months for music are usually April through September. Music may be slow for now, but it will keep getting better.
