Highway patrolmen were out testing and training with new sonar equipment on Foss Lake in Oklahoma. What they discovered was quite interesting. It was a car, which investigators later found bones in.  Then they surprising found a second car that also contained bones and skulls inside.

Rusted and caked with mud, a 1952 Chevrolet and a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro held as many as six bodies. Investigators believe one car may have belonged to teenager Jimmy Williams who disappeared with two friends Thomas Rios and Leah Johnson in 1970 and the other car could be linked to the disappearance of a man and his sibling and friend in the 1960’s.

The three teenagers went missing the night of November 20, 1970 when they went for a ride around Sayre in Williams’ blue Camaro. Williams was suppose to be going to a football game in Elk City, but he may have instead gone hunting on a road called Turkey Creek.  The three teens never returned home, the car was never found and the vehicle identification number never came up on any date bases.

Debbie McMananman believes that one of the cars contained the remains of her grandfather, John Alva Porter. Porter, who at the time was 69, was traveling with his sister Alrie Porter and his friend Nora Marie Duncan when they all went missing. This time frame is just too long, there isn’t enough for us to know.

After the two cars were taken out of the lake, dive teams went and scoured the bottom of the lake. They found a skull, femur, and some smaller bones.

The police and investigators hope that this gives family members some answers as they continue to investigate and find answers.
