We all know the beautiful face of Mrs. Thompson. She is brand new to the Alliance High School Staff! Right after highschool she first went to Southeast Community College to become a Dental Hygienist. She decided that was not her passion after she completed the Dental Cysting Program. So, she went to Chadron State for Family and Consumer Sciences, and during it she thought “Man, I should’ve become a teacher!” She did just that! By teaching preschool right after college. She adored the preschool kids, but decided to stay at home for about 15 years to stay at home with her children. Later, she worked as a school secretary and then as a family advocate. Now, she has the job as the school’s FACS teacher! Currently, she is doing transitional teaching through UNK, to get her teaching part of her degree. She was most excited about the culinary aspect of her job because she loves to cook. She loves the social side of her job, especially with her students. In her life, she prioritizes her family first! Everyone is very happy to welcome Mrs. Thompson to the AHS Family!
