Every year the Alliance High School gets an opportunity to attend college visits. One of those colleges is none other than WNCC (Western Nebraska Community College)! AHS was sent to the college on February 21 to join five other schools in the Panhandle, to learn more about the college. The students had the opportunity to tour, hear advice, and facts from the panel (staff and current student board members). Also getting a change of scenery to know what classes are available touring the WNCC “Pit”. Throughout the day WNCC faculty made sure you were having a good time and getting our questions properly answered; financially and academically. Also, learning where to get help mentally in case you get homesick or have a 504 plan. The college visit helped me and many others realize that WNCC was the route to go. So if you’re struggling to see what your future holds, don’t be scared to take chances with the college visits and see your full potential.
