Mr. Chris Bailey, born and raised in Alliance, Nebraska, has returned to Alliance High School to carry on great traditions as activities director.

After graduating with the class of 2001, Mr. Bailey attended Midland Lutheran University in Freemont, Nebraska, where he graduated, in 2005, with a degree in Physical Education. Alliance meant so much to him growing up, that after being offered the job of activities director, he felt it was an opportunity he couldn’t pass up.

Mr. Bailey married Hannah (Shoemaker) Bailey in 2006. Together, they have four kids. Violet, who is in seventh grade. Jackson, who is third grade. Brooke, who is in first grade and their youngest is Nora, who is seven months old.

In school, Mr. Bailey was involved in extra curricular activities, such as football and speech, though he wishes he would’ve done more in school, such as basketball, wrestling or finished track. He encourages everyone to get more involved in activities because they keep you involved and teach good life skills.

Aside from his parents, Mr. Bailey’s biggest inspiration was his high school football coach, Coach Tom; simply for the way he lead his life and his work ethic. He spoke of his coach as a high-character man and just an overall great person.

Mr. Bailey has many goals as activities director, such as; completing the track remodeling, updating the gym, putting wall mats in the wrestling room and continuing to improve the weight room. In the future, he hopes to try and fix the tennis courts, but one of his biggest projects is the new uniform rotation.

Mr. Bailey loves being apart of the improvements going on and hopes to continue the traditions of the great activities directors before him, such as Mr. Wallace, Mr. Almond and Mr. Hiemstra.
