FFA Gala
Saturday, the 3rd, the Alliance FFA chapter hosted their first ‘Blue and Gold Gala’. The chapter put in alot of time and effort to make this happen by selling their tickets and being at the Eagles Club at 7:00 a.m. to help set up. I asked Mrs. Vivion how she thought the gala went and she said, “it went really well. We served over 400 meals and made over $20,000.” I also asked some of the FFA members how they thought it went. FFA president Dezyrae Hausmann said, “The gala on Saturday night went amazing. Everything we had planned out went very smoothly and I could not have asked for it to go any better. I do not think anything could have gone any better than the way things did. We had a few small things that could have gone smoother, but I would not have changed the way things went.” Livestock judger Emily Thompson said that “in my eyes, the gala went very smoothly, many people were happy with what was for dinner and how the silent auction went. I think we did everything as well as we could with only a handful of FFA members being there to help.” At the end of the night, everybody thanked Mrs. Vivion and Mr. Thomas for setting this up and being able to go out on a Saturday night to dance and have fun.
