National Honors society

National Honors Society is an academic club that gives students with a GPA of 3.65 to a 4.0 the opportunity to give back to their community. This group of very capable students was chosen based on following the four pillars of NHS, which were also demonstrated by the lighting of candles during the induction ceremony. The four pillars are scholarship, service, character and leadership. The following students were inducted due to their ability to follow and represent the pillars: Jonah Amill, Sonya Behrends, Matthias Benzel, Aisen Bolek, Kalli Bridge, Morgan LeMunyan, Addisyn Muhr and Carlie Schneider for the Junior class and for the seniors Catherine Bryner, Sonny Gonzalez and Mia Reynolds. The new inductees are selected by the faculty board of 5 teachers whom oversee the applications to find the best-suited students. Those selected students along with those from the previous years make decisions on the events and charities they participate in or organize. This fall’s main event involves National Honors society making tie blankets and giving them to the Capstone project. Along with the Capstone project, there will be multiple smaller events that they participate in. The Students show great leadership skills and are going to make this year another great one.
