Makeup Change in Spring!
March is beginning, and that means the start of spring. The weather is changing, and flowers are beginning to bloom. As the shades of the seasons change, so should the shades of your makeup.
Many makeup brands such as Too Faced, Tarte, and Lancome, are coming out with more spring related makeup. Most eyeshadow palettes are transitioning from warmer tones to very bright and spring colors. Tarte recently came out with a new Be a Mermaid & Make Waves eyeshadow palette, which included many brighter colors. Opposed to fall, spring is a huge transition, especially in the makeup world.
Skincare is another aspect in the makeup world. It’s very important that the skin is clean, and prepped for the makeup you are going to be applying. It is almost a necessity to prep your skin correctly.
In the spring, the weather begins to heat up. Making sure you apply primer ensures your makeup will stay on longer. Makeup can feel heavy on the skin. Primer waters make the skin feel refreshing. Smashbox has a three-in-one primer water that preps, hydrates, and refreshes the skin. It’s a solution for dryness, and textures skin. Winter, for some, brings very dry skin so this primer water would be perfect for you. Though it does primarily help with dry skin, it is meant for all skin types, dry or moisturized.
A full face of foundation is going to slip right off your face in the nice sunny weather. BB and CC creams will help the makeup feel light and prevent acne from starting. BB creams start from a range of $7.00 to around $50.00. Though it is a light coverage, your skin is going to thank you.
