Preview of AHS musical
The Alliance High School drama department is preparing for yet another debut upon the stage. The student actors have performed everything from “West Side Story” to “Young Frankenstein.” This year, the musical being put on is “The Drowsy Chaperone.” With directors Crissy Kloch and Mike Garcia at the reins, this musical is going to run like clockwork. With help from Kent and Elaine Bleisch for set, choreography, and costumes, the play is well under way.
“The Drowsy Chaperone” is a musical straight from Broadway. It tells of a middle-aged theatre fanatic who plays the audience his favorite musical, which then comes to life in his living room.
Elora Bleisch, who plays the part of Janet Van De Graaff, states, “The musical process this year has been fun and while we still have a lot of work to do, this musical is going to great by opening night.”
