Athletics are a huge part of many students’ life here at Alliance High School. Many people eat, breathe, and live for the moment when they step onto the court or field and a hundred people stand up and applaud for them. But some Bulldog fans do more than just applaud. They show up to every game, they stand in the front row and they throw themselves wholeheartedly into the cheers. The Spud will start featuring a Bulldog fan who has shown immense spirit and dedication to support Bulldog athletes throughout the year.
Our first Bulldog Fan worth mentioning is junior, Trevor Kamerzell. Trevor plays football, basketball, and runs track. However, he suffered an injury which cut his football season short, but that hasn’t stopped him from supporting his team from the sidelines. Not only did he attend all the football practices and games, but he also went to every volleyball game and was in the front row being loud and proud and showing his support for the Lady Bulldogs.
At the volleyball district championship game on November 1st in Bayard, Trevor arrived sporting black body paint and helped the team win some tough rallies with his non-ending, cheering spirit. Trevor has stepped up this year because he believes having a student section and dedicated fans will help our Bulldog athletes win crucial games. When asked how and why he has become the fan he is he said, “When the atmosphere in the gym is up, it gives the players confidence and they play better.” He also said that he wishes to inspire other students to come and support Bulldog athletics and help our teams soar to victory.
