As the year winds to a close, students find it harder to get work done and finish what little they have to do. Though before students quit completely, there are a few things they must attend to.
One of the last things students need to complete before they leave for the summer is computer turn-ins. Seniors will turn in their school issued lap tops Friday, May 11, at any point in the day, to Mr. Hartman, in his room, or to Mrs. McBride, in the library. All underclassmen turn in their computers on Thursday, May 17, or Friday, May 18. All of the computers will be wiped clean and underclassmen’s computers will be returned blank and uniform, the same as they were received this year. Each student will get the same computer as they have this year, and all damage will be documented.
Senior breakfast will be held on Wednesday, May 16 at 8:00 a.m. for seniors and their parents. The morning will begin with breakfast, in the commons then continue in the PAC with the senior slideshow and the senior awards. At 9:00a.m the seniors will go to the multi-purpose room for graduation practice, then will practice walking down to the Bulldog Stadium, just like they will on Sunday, and will complete a run through of the graduation ceremony. To end seniors last day of school, they will return to the commons where all of the teachers will be prepared to check them out forever. Underclassmen will come to school that afternoon and will run through a shortened schedule of all 8 classes.
Underclassmen finals will be held Thursday, May 17, and Friday, May 18. Finals will be four classes to a day, starting with even numbered class periods on Thursday, and odd numbered classes on Friday. The final day for underclassmen will be Monday, May 21; on that day students will come for a shortened schedule to be checked out of each class, they will clean out their lockers, and they will take care of any end of the year details such as library and cafeteria bills.
