On Tuesday, March 13, Alliance High School students came together in the new Performing Arts Center during their Advisory class to view a short presentation by the Family Career and Community Leaders of America club (FCCLA) about the dangers of distracted driving. The presentation included a photo shoot of the student body demonstrating the behaviors associated with distracted driving. After the photo, students watched a video of a young teenager texting while driving and what resulted from her actions. The video was a reenactment of a true event where a young girl caused an terrible accident which resulted in the deaths of five adults and one baby. After the video FCCLA members handed out smarties to the students body as they were walking out of the auditorium to promote smart, safe driving.
