The AHS speech team competed in the Chadron Speech Invitational on Saturday, Feb 4. The following Alliance High School students placed in finals in their events: Miranda McDonald 1st Place Entertainment Speaking Saige Benton 1st Place Humorous Prose David Strang 1st Place Serious Prose Morgan Boots 2nd Place Serious Prose Roger Bunnell 3rd Place Serious Prose Delta Wilson 2nd Place in Extemporaneous Speaking, and 4th Place in Persuasive The Oral Interpretation of Drama team of Kacey Horn, Collin Cox, Saige Benton, and Roger Bunnell 2nd Place Alliance took Sweepstakes Runner-Up in Class A/B (Gering won top Sweepstakes honors) The AHS Speech Team is coached by Jill Hoesing, Mary Theresa Green, and Dan Marquez. Alliance will host their home Speech Invitational on Saturday, February 18.
