Morp, or prom spelled backward, will be held by AHS Student Counsel, for the first time, on November 19. This dance is just another dance to add to the school year, AHS will still have a prom. The idea behind morp is to have a sort-of anti-prom, where girls have to ask guys, girls have to drive their dates, and everyone has to wear jeans or sweatpants. Instead of an “after” prom party, there will be an “eforeb” morp gathering held, obviously, before the dance during which students can play games and earn prizes.
The dance will be held at the Burkholder building. Eforeb morp will be from 6 to 8 with “Minute-to-Win-it” games, such as those played after last year’s prom, along with a few others. Students may even win prizes for gift cards to go and eat before the dance. Morp will be from 9 until midnight with DJ Skeeze providing an excellent selection of music for only $5 per person.
