Halloween is a spooky time where everyone enjoys going to haunted houses, telling scary stories, and trick or treating. Halloween scares some people fairly easily, or others can take any fright that faces them, but will this year be an exception?

Rumor has it that this year will be the 666th Halloween in history. It is believed that the first Halloween was held in the year of 1350 and that it used to be a day all about pranking people. As of today, Halloween is used for pranks, trick or treating, and scares.

The number 666 is known commonly as the “mark of the beast”, it first originated from the scripture in the Bible, Revelation 13:16. In the scripture, it states that if you are a beholder of the mark on your forehead, or your right hand, you will face the fury of God. In the old times, the number 7 stood for wholeness and completeness, so being called 666 was an insult and people took it as they were far from being considered a real thing. Many don’t believe in religious beliefs and don’t think to question it. There are many forms of explanations for 666, but which is the right one?

Parents and police are taking precautions with the extra “hellish” Halloween this year. Parents are refusing to take their children trick or treating and some cops say they will be extra careful with watching children who are out alone or in small groups.

Do you believe in ghosts, Satan, 666, or anything scary? Well, that is up to you to decide. If we celebrate Halloween are we worshiping the devil, anything evil, or is it just a normal holiday that everyone enjoys? We may never know.
