Xbox One vs. PS4

The world of gaming keeps improving and each system becomes more unique every time. I myself am an Xbox fan. The new Xbox One comes out November 15th, and the new console is stated to be the most expensive game system to ever hit the market. I think the new Xbox One is going to be a great system, but I am not a fan of some of its new abilities.

Nobody wants someone to watch what they’re doing at all times, and now with the Kinect always on, every movement will be seen. I understand they are trying to bring more activity from the user, but I don’t think it is necessary to be on at all times. The new Xbox will have a 500 GB hard drive which will be better for the more hardcore gamers or even families that download a lot of movies.

It will also have a Blu-Ray player which will bring new and improved graphics with all movies and even games. Microsoft tried to bring the games to have the best graphics bringing everything to look like its more real and bring you into the game. Xbox Live will still be available with Xbox 360 and your account will be able to be active on both.

I have never been much of a Sony fan, but the new PS4 is definitely a top contender, but has its own major problems also. They are trying to become more of a strictly download console. Which in that case, a 500 GB standard hard drive will not be big enough for gamers that have a bigger library of games.

Newer PS3 games that you own, will have codes so you can get them on your new PS4 when it comes out. This is something Xbox did not incorporate in their new system.

The PS4 comes with a complete package of the a microphone headset and controller which will bring more players to communicate in online gaming. Some of the major problems with the PS4 is how small the cooling fans are. This has been a major in every console Sony has produced. If there is not enough airflow, the system can fry itself and even catch on fire as seen in some of the Beta testing.

I personally am not very impressed by either system and plan on waiting until all the major problems are fixed. I will probably go with the Xbox One due to the fact I already have an account built up on Xbox Live and I don’t want to start over again.
