Our extreme universe is the biggest mystery imaginable, and our imagination can come from anywhere. Many people try to create theories on the origins of humans but the truth is that nobody knows what our purpose is and why we’re here. The possibilities are endless, and as physics expand, we are climbing closer to an exclamation about the universe. The discovery of new planets is always interesting, but according to NASA, 715 new planets have been discovered, which is by far the biggest discovery of planets all at once. About 1,000 planets have been discovered in our galaxy all together. Four of those planets, according to NASA, are considered to be in the “habitable zone,” meaning that they can possibly support life.

The planets were discovered through a Kepler space telescope, and they orbited around 305 different stars. The Kepler space observatory was the first NASA mission to find planets similar to Earth, and the data has only been known for the first two years because of the Kepler experiment, which means many more planets may be discovered.

NASA says that 95 percent of the planets discovered are smaller than Neptune. One of them is twice the size of Earth and orbits a star half the size of Earth’s sun. The other three planets in habitable zones are all nearly twice the size of Earth. When further data comes in, NASA claims that they may find many more planets like Earth.

Our universe could be endless, but the planets discovered may drive humanity to begin space exploration, which could lead to anything, and humans may discover the answers that may have seemed impossible to answer.
